Just a Dab'll Do Ya
So I screwed up the weekend. Now it's time for some damage control. The cool thing is that my resolve isn't a result of remorse. (Don't get me wrong, I still feel bad about my choices this weekend.) This is an effort to avoid total derailment. I've got a goal to reach and this weekend only delayed my achievements. Now, it's time to get back up and keep moving forward.

Slightly off-topic, this weekend did produce something positive. Sort of. I found a decent hiking trail in Ortonville (bottom left, Bloomer #3). It's no Colorado trail, but I got a good 3-hour hike out of it. It's only 2.5 miles around the trail, but it has a trail that cuts through the center. So I went up the left side, cut down the center trail, then went around the right side and back down the center trail.

Pros:
Good workout
Decent hills, most of which I ran
Good stress relief
Beautiful trails

Cons:
Middle of Michigan summer
Middle of Michigan forest
No bug spray

So yeah, I came back looking like I contracted a severe case of chicken pox and was extra cautious about West Nile Virus symptoms (which happen to be headache, high fever, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, and paralysis). (Not that I looked it up or anything.)

So far, so good.

My goals today:

50 pushups
100 situps
100 squats
50 lunges
50 triceps extensions

That sounds like a great hike. Id love to go with you sometime. This fall would be perfect, after my 3 day training is done :)

Hiking sounds like a lot of fun! However, I'm with you on the whole crappy Michigan summer...it's been super ass hot all summer with like 1000% humidity. I've probably been losing weight just from sweating so much when I'm outside!

Did you hit your goals?!
